Soph - Poster Charting "I Am" - Seniors - Scripts

Hello Students!

We are already into the third week of the Semester.  You should be doing your work and continuing positive habits when it comes to your school work, attendance, and behavior.  Make the most of your time.  Have your voice heard.  What you connect with matters!

Sophomores - Expository/Argument Continued
Pivotal Underlying Questions:
1. When faced with months to live, how do you say goodbye?
2. How do you find out what you love? How do you know it's what you should do with your life?
3. Happy Accidents.  What has happened to you that at first seemed "bad/unlucky" but in hindsight turned out to be rather fortunate?
4. What is wrong with the world and what can I do help make it better?
5. To be (to live) or not to be (to not live) - that is the question.
6. How do you turn your hurt/fear into art/creative expression?

Sophomores
1. Poster Charting - "I Am"
Students will work in small groups to note key claims made in the film w/specific quotes, critical thinking and personal connections.  Students will be able to use these notes for Thursday Assessment.

HW - Charted text for Zach, Steve, I Am, Ray
Thursday - Test. Can you annotate, chart, and reflect for a piece of text you HAVE NOT seen yet?


Seniors
1. Monday/Tuesday - Script Writing/Revising/Formatting
2. Wednesday - Writing Response Groups - TWO copies of script with purposeful highlights
3. Thursday - Guest Visit - Jaleesa
* Work Check Weds- 12 pages of script.  Typed and formatted properly using Celtx/Adobe

HW - Scripts due 2/27, Final Scripts due 3/6.  We will start presentations on 3/6.

* Poetry Club on Wednesday
