Portfolio- Due on the Day of your Final. We will have a Gallery Walk and Author's Chair
1) Choose your collection of work and assignments based on the compiled list of writings below.
Your portfolio will contain edited and re-shaped original pieces from this course. I want to emphasize that these selections should be edited. Sometimes you need to start over; sometimes it is just a tweak of a difference. Hint: Read them aloud to yourself and/to others. Take advantage of WRG time to revise your work.
2. Organize your pieces with a mind toward "thread" (theme of reoccurring idea). What keeps showing up in your pieces? Is there a progression? If it seems like all the pieces stand apart, then that is fine too!
3. Choose a title
4. Submit: Here are a couple ideas on how to do it - but speak with me if you want to propose something else.
* Word/Google Document that includes: Title page, table of contents, dedication, introduction, your pieces, and an about the author. Arrange and organize your works by how you'd like them to appear.
* Include photographs
* Cover: collage, paint, print, etc..
* Binding: It can be as simple as a staple or folder, but you can do any sort of fancy binding/stitching
Final Project: (20%)
Criteria for Evaluation: Did the student exhibit creativity with color, design, title, binding? Did the student assemble a body of his/her work, did the student edit his/her work, is the student showing continual progress throughout the workshop?
